Having been inspired by other blogs, written by chic women all over the world, I decided to start my own blog.  I hope that by focusing on chic habits each day, the French way of life will become second nature.

I was influenced greatly by Mireille Guiliano.  I was not overweight when I first read French Women Don’t Get Fat, but I had an unhealthy relationship with food and with life in general.  I had no sense of balance in my life.  I had lost a tremendous amount of weight and had actually become too thin.  I became afraid of food and of enjoying life.  I have since read all of her books and had the pleasure of meeting her at a book signing.  Her books, as well as Robert Arbor’s Joie de Vivre, remain my greatest inspirations for living a beautiful and happy life.  I have found a new balance and joy in life!

I look forward to your insights Juliana! A blog of your own is such a great place to indulge your favourite topics. When I first started mine I decided to write what I loved to read, and ignore the fact that anyone might else might read it (otherwise you start censoring and editing yourself). Enjoy!
